The Fiftieth Day Fun and Freebies

The Fiftieth Day of School?!? Already??? How can that be??? We have so much fun in Kindergarten and the Fiftieth Day was no exception!!! Check out our fun, fun day!!!

First, we learned about life in the 50s!! We sorted pictures from then and now. We also had out picture taken with a giant record...AKA-a giant black CD. :) There's a cute little book that we read that you can find HERE.

You can snag the Happy 50th Day sign by clicking on the picture below.

Next, we learned all about the NUMBER 50!! How it looks, how it's spelled, how to tally it, how many 10s you need to make it, and writing from 1-50!!!

Want it for FREEEE?! Click on the picture of it below!! :)

It wouldn't be the 50s without a Coke Float!!! This sink or float graph is from Kim Adsit's Columbus Day unit!!! But you can grab the tags that I used to stick on the graph below!! :)

Here we are playing our race to 50 dice game. I actually made this a looooong time ago!!! You can click HERE to go back to my old 50th day post and grab it from there!

Of course, we learned the hand jive, the twist and a few others. Then, we had a sock hop at the end of the day!!!

Here's a pretty good tutorial on how to Hand Jive!!! :)

But, my FAVORITE part of the day is the Bubble Blowing contest!!!! Get the BIG, SUGARY Bubble Gum and teach those kids how to BLOW!!!!!

All the of Activites that you see below PLUS MUCH more is in my
"Can You Blow a Bubble" Pack!!
It includes the craft, items to create a class graph, an individual survey/graph, Sequencing cards for step by step directions on how to blow a bubble, "How To" writing prompts, and a certificate for your Bubble Blowing Contest Champs!!!! It says "You Blew Me Away On the 50th Day"!!!!
Check it out!!! Click on any of the pictures below!!!

  1. I teach 4K and today was our 50th day. Thanks for your race to 50 game, we played that and really enjoyed it. I also give the kids gum and "try" to teach them how to blow bubbles....no one had success but they sure had fun trying! Our favorite part is listening and dancing to good 'ol 50's music. A wonderful time was had by all.
