Do you make butter with your Kinders for your Thanksgiving feast???
We used to use an old Butter churn, but taking turns with 20-something Kindergarteners is HARD!! Only one kid is busy at a time and when their short turn was over-that was it!
Last year, I decided to go the baby food jar route. It worked out much better-but, I still hear A LOT of whinning! "My arm hurts!" "I'm tired!" Well, of course I told them they had to work hard for their butter, just like the Pilgrims did! LOL!!
Well, this year, I decided to make it just a little bit more fun...but it turned out to be A LOT more fun!!! All I did was added a silly song while they were shaking their butter!! I downloaded the Chipmunks "Shake your Groove Thing" and had the song blaring while the kids were shaking their butter. They had so much fun shaking it and dancing that I didn't hear ONE SINGLE whine!!!! And, everyone's whipping cream turned into butter!!! It was sooo funny and cute that I just HAD to post a video for you to see:) I can't show faces, so I had them all turn around -so you can just see the back of them:) (Sorry, you can hear me giggling too:)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
We made butter with our 5th grade mentors and passed the jars around in a circle to music. The kids had a blast but some of our jars broke because fifth graders can be a little too enthusiastic! We put our butter on tortillas and my kids ate so much! I love your video. It gave me a chuckle!
