Last Summer I posted some freebies for you to use at your Open House, Meet and Greet or Orientation. It's just a little "treasure hunt" that you can use for your students to become more familiar and comfortable with the classroom. You can read my original posts here and here.
Well, last Summer, I just kept getting requests from people on how they wanted me to fix them to meet their classroom needs. Now, this Summer the requests have started again:)
So, I decided to remake the freebie and make EVERY SINGLE option that I could think of! I think there is something here for everyone!!!;)
If you teach Kindergarten click on the image below to get 9 different options for Kindergarten!
If you teach First Grade-click on the image below to get 9 different options for First Grade!
If you teach preschool-click on the image below to get 12 different options for Preschool!
If you grab any of these...I would LOVE it if you would leave me a comment and follow my blog!;) Thanks!
Enjoy!!!
You are awesome!! :) I grabbed the first grade ones!

ReplyDeleteThanks for your hard work! These are great!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Katie! We do a "Sneak Peek" a couple of days before school starts, and I made a similar treasure hunt last year. BUT, it's not as cute as these, so I think we'll be using yours this year!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katie for offering these for free and for making choices!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!! It is awesome and I can't wait to use it in August!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your "treasure hunt!" After all your hard work, I hate to ask but... Would it be possible for you to make one that says "Welcome to Pre K?" I teach Pre-Kindergarten and would love to use your "treasure hunt" at Meet the Teacher.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Thank you. :0 Your new design is super cute too.

I would love one for Second Grade! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am a new follower!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I love all of the different options. I also love that it was a freebie. Since the clip charts for behavior are a big trend right now, a clip chart icon would be a great replacement for the teacher's desk. I want my parents to look at the clip chart also. It is just a suggestion for next year. I am planning on using this for our "Meet the Teacher Night"

Thanks Katie! I plan on using this open house night. I think I will cut one apart and put the clip-art pic on the area they are to find. Just one more step to help them!

These are so awesome! Thanks so much for making such a variety! I've always wanted something like this, and I couldn't figure out how to make it work. I need to add something about finding the bathroom. Can you tell me where you got the cute clip art? I might just find something through Microsoft and place it over one of the less important pictures you have included. I hope that's ok?!?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Awesome activity. I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteSuper Cute!! Thanks for the freebie!
ReplyDeleteHurray for Pinterest and for you! I went looking for Meet and Greet stuff and yours was the first site I found on Pinterest! Thank you so much for sharing these...they are great! I am your newest follower!!!

ReplyDeleteI saved the First Grade set. I actually teach 2nd so I will just change the grade before copying. I really appreciate that you provide so many versions. I have tables in my classroom and was happy to see you had that as an alternative to desks. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThese are so great- thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea! Is there anyway to have the preschool one say pre k? Thanks so much! My email is stephenandmindyc@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteSo wish I had found this two weeks ago, but now it just makes me one step ahead for next year! Thanks for all the versions.
ReplyDeleteThank you for including 1 for Preschool. I always have to modify things so it was perfect to find something ready to go :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Katie,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this freebie. I used it last night for the first time during my Open House and it was a HUGE HIT! Hooray! It gave the parents something to do (stay busy) with their kid while I had time to greet each person who came into the room. Instead of feeling cornered in conversations (not that I don't like talking with parents)...It was a fun and social way for me greet them and get them to learn about our classroom. The picture prompts helped the kids be able to take "control" and also it was very ELL friendly for my many families for whom English is not the first language. I just wanted you to know what a great success this was!
Finding something like this is very rare! And I’m pretty sure that the writer and admin must be really proud that the article gets tons and tons of replies. And I was fascinated by the delivery and execution of the article. I’m a beginning blogger and I could say this really helps.

Thank you so much! This will be a wonderful activity for my kindergarten open house. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for these awesome freebies. I used it last year for my Kindergarten class. We do not use a Treasure Box however. Could you share your text font as I am thinking of cutting and pasting to change that particular block on the page? I love them!!

Fabulous! I have 11 out of 19 returning for PreK. This will be a great way for them to "remember" where things are.
